Why do I paint?
Every day is full of moments of beauty. Every scene, image, human interaction or occurrence has at least one instance of absolute beauty. Whenever I see one of those moments, I feel an overwhelming sense of joy and lightness. I want to capture those moments as effectively as possible and share them. I try to incorporate the feelings that accompany those visions so I can share the entire experience. I am truly happy when I paint and I love nothing more than realizing that the painting is completed. The beauty of a moment is in the vision and the feelings created by the image, the atmosphere and everything else, including the breeze, the sounds and the temperature. I prefer to use acrylics on canvas. I like the boldness of the colors, the consistent nature of the paint and the flexibility of the paint and how it can be used.
